9 months agoHouston Rockets guard James Harden erupted for a career-high 61 points across 40 minutes in Wednesday's 114-110 victory against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. He hit 17-for-38 from the field, including 5-for-20 from behind the three-point line, and he was a solid 22-for-25 from the free-throw stripe. He also added 15 rebounds, five steals and four assists with just five turnovers. Harden managed to go for 61 points on just 38 shots, while his teammates compiled 53 points on a total of 52 attempts. His 61 points were the most by a Knicks opponent at the current MSG, and he is the first player since Shaquille O'Neal to go for 60-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in a game since March 6, 2000.--Daniel E.
