James Conner Ready To Step In For Le'Veon Bell
7 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner is ready to absorb Le'Veon Bell's repetitions as the team's main ball carrier during organized team activities. With Bell expected to hold out until the start of the regular season, Conner should be the team's main running back in OTAs and throughout training camp. The second-year running back is ready, as he told reporters, "I want all the reps as possible before it really counts. It all counts right now, but until we strap up Game 1, I want to get as many reps as possible so I can be as comfortable as possible for whenever my number is called during the season." Conner's rookie season ended early due to an MCL injury, but he is fully healed. From a fantasy standpoint, Conner is nothing more than a Bell handcuff.
