Jalen Pitre Released From The Hospital
1 year agoHouston Texans safety Jalen Pitre (lung) was released from the hospital on Monday and is in good spirits, according to a source. The young safety was taken to a local hospital on Sunday after suffering a bruised lung in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens when quarterback Lamar Jackson's knee hit his chest. The 24-year-old second-year defensive back should ultimately be OK, but it remains to be seen if he'll have to miss any time after the scary injury in the season opener. We'll have a better idea of whether Pitre will be able to play in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts when the Texans release their first injury report this week on Wednesday. It wouldn't be a surprise if Pitre is unable to play this weekend.
