5/18:Going into Friday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, fantasy owners did not know what to expect out of New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom. After missing one start with a hyperextended right elbow, deGrom left his last start after only one inning due to weather issues, though taking the Mets word for it is always dicey. deGrom put any and all concerns to rest on Friday, though. He allowed only one earned run on six hits across seven innings pitched, not walking a batter and striking out a whopping 13 in the 3-1 victory. Yeah, you could say he’s just fine. deGrom next takes the hill on Wednesday against the Marlins, where he’ll once again be a fantasy ace.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
