New Jersey Devils center Jack Hughes scored a goal for the first time since returning from a shoulder injury. It was not enough as New Jersey lost 8-4 to the Winnipeg Jets on Friday. Hughes, who is still playing wing often, pounced on a rebound left by Connor Hellebuyck with just seconds remaining in the first period. That cut the Devils' deficit to just one at the time. Hughes just had the one shot on the night in 14:40 of ice time. He now has three goals and an assist in five games. New Jersey has a few days off which should help the forward. Playing the center position more will help even more.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
