J.A. Happ Gets Rare Quality Start In Defeat
J.A. Happ went six innings and allowed three runs, but took the loss as the Arizona Diamondbacks prevailed, 4-2 in the Bronx. Happ surrendered eight hits and a walk, striking out two along the way. His night got off to a bad start with a first-inning solo home run allowed, but he managed to limit the damage. The Yankees have now lost four of five as the trade deadline nears and a move for a starting pitcher in desperate need.
