Cleveland Indians outfield prospect George Valera, the team's No. 4 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to be on the team's taxi squad when rosters are officially announced. Valera will turn 20 years old in November, so he's a long shot to see a major league call-up during the shortened 60-game regular season. The native of Queens, New York, Valera hit a combined .217/.336/.411 with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 23 runs and six stolen bases in 52 games with Low-A Mahoning Valley and Single-A Lake County in 2019. He broke his hand in 2018 and was limited to just six games. The left-handed hitter has a smooth stroke and hits to all fields. Valera should hit enough to become a regular at the major league level, but he'll need a few more seasons, at least, to develop.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
