Vancouver Canucks winger Ilya Mikheyev is considered week-to-week with a lower-body injury after getting hurt in a preseason game against Calgary over the weekend. The 27-year-old Russian was hit awkwardly into the boards and left midway through the game. Mikheyev was skating in his first Canucks game after earning himself a nice four-year, $19 million deal in July. He appeared in 53 games for Toronto last season and had a solid campaign with 21 goals and 32 points. With Brock Boeser (hand) also on the shelf, Vasily Podkolzin could find himself in a very prominent role for Vancouver early in the season, and Conor Garland should benefit from the injuries as well.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
