Vancouver Canucks right wing Ilya Mikheyev (knee) might not be ready to feature in preseason games, CHEK TV's Rick Dhaliwal has reported. The Russian forward is still trying to recover from an ACL injury that cut his 2022-23 campaign short. However, it is believed that he could be an option for opening night. Mikheyev had a solid run with the Canucks last season before getting shut down in January. He notched 13 goals and had 15 assists in 46 outings. The 28-year-old boasts 100 points (49 goals, 51 assists) in 192 career appearances, and he should be a valuable member of the Canucks' top-six group once he's healthy again.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
