6 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier had been off to a glacial start as he'd only knocked one hit in his first four games, but he made the right kind of contact on Saturday and drove his first home run of the season out of the park. Dozier's two-run shot in the seventh inning gave the Royals the lead, but they would quickly surrender it in the bottom half of the inning. The once highly-touted prospect has been quite the letdown so far in his career, but he's still just 27 years old and is finally slated to get the vast majority of the playing time at third base. With the team rebuilding, he should get plenty of opportunity even if he continues to struggle early in the season.
