Hernan Perez Agrees With Twins
2 years agoFree-agent infielder/outfielder Hernan Perez reached an agreement with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday, according to sources. The deal is a minor-league pact. Perez will join the Twins in spring training once he's done playing for Team Venezuela in the World Baseball Classic. The 31-year-old utility man last saw action in the major leagues with the Washington Nationals in 2021, going 1-for-19 with two walks and 10 strikeouts in only 10 games. He played in only three games for the Chicago Cubs in the shortened 2020 campaign. Perez's last meaningful season in the bigs was in 2019 with the Milwaukee Brewers. He'll serve as organizational depth for the Twins if he sticks around in 2023.
