6 years agoHenrik Stenson has withdrawn from the upcoming Northern Trust tournament. The Swede has been dealing with a nagging elbow injury over the past month. The Northern Trust is the first event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but Stenson is comfortably within points position to qualify for next week's tournament. The elite ball striker defended his Wyndham Championship title last week in Greensboro and finished tied for 20th. This decision should be seen as nothing more than a chance to rest and rehab his elbow.
