Hayden Hurst A Question Mark On Short Week
3 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Hayden Hurst (ankle) was listed as a DNP on Monday's estimated practice report, leaving his availability in question for Thursday night against the New England Patriots in Week 11. Hurst wasn't targeted at all in the Week 10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys before leaving the game. With rookie Kyle Pitts serving as the team's primary pass-catching tight end and one of the top targets in this offense overall, it's left very little for Hurst in a backup role. The 28-year-old has just 20 receptions on 25 targets for 158 yards and one touchdown in nine games (five starts) for the Falcons in 2021. He would only become fantasy relevant if Pitts misses time with an injury. If Hurst misses Thursday's game, Lee Smith would likely be Pitts' primary backup at the position.
