Ha-Seong Kim Picks Up Three Hits In Leadoff Spot
1 year agoSan Diego Padres infielder Ha-Seong Kim set the table nicely as the leadoff hitter on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough in the 9-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first game of the series. Kim went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a strikeout in the game. Kim has been pretty mediocre offensive all season long, but he's heating up of late and has gone an impressive 17-for-43 (.395) with three home runs, a double, nine RBI and two stolen bases in his last 12 games. The 27-year-old South Korean infielder is now hitting .258 (62-for-240) on the season with eight home runs, 10 doubles, 28 RBI, 13 stolen bases and 35 runs scored in 75 games in his third MLB season. Kim is most useful in deeper leagues for his speed and positional versatility.
