Golden Tate Suffers Knee Injury In Practice
4 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate (knee) suffered a knee injury late in practice on Thursday and is being evaluated by the medical staff. The injury sounds minor, but this could certainly keep Tate from playing in Week 10 against the Eagles. The 32-year-old veteran wideout complained about his role on the team and was benched for his actions in the Week 9 win over Washington, but he was expected to return this weekend. That is now in doubt after Thursday's injury. Even if Tate's injury isn't serious enough to keep him out against Philly, we can't seriously recommend him in 12-team leagues and smaller. He's behind Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard and even tight end Evan Engram in the target pecking order.
