Giants Open Practice Window For Gary Brightwell
12 months agoThe New York Giants are opening the 21-day practice window for running back Gary Brightwell (hamstring) and offensive lineman Matt Peart (shoulder) on Wednesday, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Both players remain on Injured Reserve, but the team will now have 21 days to officially activate them. Brightwell has been on IR since Week 7 but will now return to practice this week with the hope of being active on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 16. The 24-year-old former sixth-round selection in 2021 has just nine rushing attempts for 19 yards and has caught five of seven targets for 47 yards in his seven games in 2023. When healthy, he'll return to being RB depth behind Saquon Barkley and Matt Breida.
