George Springer Returns to Game Action
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer returned to action on Thursday after missing a few games with a minor abdominal strain. The veteran outfielder stayed in for three plate appearances and homered in his first at-bat of the game. He also made a nice running catch in center field. He's 3-for-11 (.273) with a stolen base so far this spring and the home run was his first extra-base hit as a Blue Jay. Springer joined the Toronto Blue Jays as a free agent in the offseason and signed a six-year, $150-million contract. He had previously spent seven years with the Houston Astros.
