Garrett Mitchell Joining Triple-A Nashville
Garrett Mitchell (oblique) will join Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday to continue his rehab assignment. The UCLA product has been shelved since April with an oblique strain. Mitchell started his rehab assignment with Milwaukee's rookie-level affiliate over the weekend and struck out in his only two at-bats. It's good news that he'll quickly be moved up a few levels. Still, he'll likely require at least a few more rehab outings before rejoining the big-league squad. Prior to his injury, the 26-year-old was slashing a woeful .206/.286/.294 through his first 25 appearances, though he should slot in as Milwaukee's primary centerfielder upon his return.
