Frederik Andersen Shuts Out Columbus In Sunday's Win
8 months agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen posted his second shutout in three starts on Sunday as the team took down the Blue Jackets 3-0. Andersen stopped 23 pucks in the contest to improve to 12-2-0 for the season. He missed a large chunk of the campaign due to a blood-clotting issue, but Andersen has been outstanding when healthy. He's given up more than two goals only once in his last 13 appearances and boasts a 1.83 goals-against average for the season with three shutouts and a .931 save percentage. Carolina alternates its goalies, meaning we should see Andersen next on Friday in another favorable matchup against St. Louis.
