Freddie Freeman Hitting Just .239 Through Two Months
4 years agoAtlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman has been a fine producer for fantasy purposes overall so far this year. With 12 home runs over 49 games, he's outperforming his home run pace from 2020, when he hit 13 home runs over 60 games. However, his batting average is way down from both last year and his career mark. He's hitting just .239 so far this year. He's a career .293 hitter and last year, he had a career-best .341 batting average. He has an xBA of .293 this year, which shows that he's been getting a bit unlucky so far. All of his other underlying metrics look similar to how they have in recent years. Fantasy managers can safely expect his average to start increasing soon.
