Francisco Liriano Pitches Simulated Game, Rehab Assignment To Come
7 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Francisco Liriano (hamstring) has been on the disabled list since May 29th with a right hamstring strain, but he pitched in a simulated game on Tuesday. Reports from the team suggest that it went well, with manager Ron Gardenhire saying that the ball was "diving and darting" out of Liriano's hand, and with Liriano telling reporters that "everything feels normal" and "nothing hurts." The veteran is 3-2 with a 3.90 ERA on the year and will need at least one rehab start before rejoining the Tigers rotation.
