Felix Hernandez Makes Case To Stick In Rotation
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez struck out six hitters through six innings while allowing four runs in the Mariners win over the Astros on Monday. Hernandez was booted from the rotation after his disastrous start on August 7 but got the call to take the place of the injured James Paxton. It wasn't a stellar performance but Hernandez provided some quality innings in a winning effort. After posting a ghastly 9.24 ERA in the month of July, 'King' Felix still holds a 5.96 ERA in August and has not won a game since June 30. He no longer is the ace of yore, but he may have done enough to earn another opportunity in the rotation moving forward. Either way, Hernandez is no longer fantasy viable.
