Falcons Sign Safety Erik Harris
4 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons signed former Las Vegas Raiders safety Erik Harris to an undisclosed one-year deal, according to a source. The 30-year-old went undrafted out of California University of Pennsylvania in 2012 and played in the Canadian Football League for three years before the New Orleans Saints signed him to a futures deal in 2016. Harris played in four games with the Saints before signing as a backup with the Raiders in 2017. He recorded 189 tackles (148 solo), 20 passes defensed, five interceptions and two defensive touchdowns in 30 starts for the Black and Silver. The Falcons have been in serious need of safety depth, with Ricardo Allen out of the picture and both Damontae Kazee and Keanu Neal likely departing as well.
