Experts Think Francisco Lindor Will Be Traded
4 years agoAll 20 MLB team executives that were polled for ESPN's annual Hot Stove survey predicted that Cleveland shortstop Francisco Lindor will be traded before Opening Day, with one calling a trade "just a matter of where and when." Lindor has been the most-discussed trade candidate this offseason and Cleveland is motivated to move Lindor's 2021 salary, which is expected to be in the $20 million range through arbitration, and receive some valuable pieces in return before he becomes a free agent. The Mets and Yankees are two potential landing spots for the All-Star shortstop. Wherever Lindor winds up, he'll remain an elite fantasy shortstop after hitting .258/.335/.415 with eight home runs, 30 runs, 27 RBI and six steals in 236 at-bats during the shortened 2020 season.
