Eugenio Suarez Recovering From Surgery
5 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez (shoulder) had surgery to remove loose cartilage in his right shoulder this offseason. He will be limited to start spring training but is expected to be ready near the start of the regular season. It doesn't sound like a major operation, but it's something to take note of in case Suarez misses Opening Day and some regular season time to begin the year. The 28-year-old hit .271/.358/.572 with a career-high 49 home runs, 87 runs and 103 RBI in 575 at-bats in 2019. He resides in an excellent home park for hitters and should have more RBI opportunities in an improved Reds lineup, but there is a little cause for concern with his shoulder.
