Eric Saubert Secures Season-High Five Catches In Week 5
2 years agoDenver Broncos tight end Eric Saubert outplayed teammate Albert Okwuegbunam in the Week 5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night. Saubert played 56 percent of the team's offensive snaps in the 12-9 overtime loss, catching a season-high five passes on seven targets for 36 yards. Meanwhile, Okwuegbunam played 21 percent of the snaps and caught his only target for a five-yard gain. Saubert's seven targets were third on the team behind receivers Courtland Sutton (11) and Jerry Jeudy (eight). Okwuegbunam came into the year as the projected top pass-catching tight end, but Saubert remains involved and might have surpassed Albert O on the depth chart. Neither tight end isn't worth rostering in 12-team leagues, but Okwuegbunam's stock has fallen considerably.
