Eloy Jimenez Leaves Game Early With Calf Cramp
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (calf) left the team's Cactus League game against the Arizona Diamondbacks early on Monday with a cramp in his right calf, according to the team. Fantasy managers should consider Jimenez day-to-day for now, and he shouldn't be in any danger of missing Opening Day at the end of this month. It's a reminder of how brittle the 26-year-old Dominican has been early in his career, as he's only played in over 100 games in a season once in his rookie year in 2019. Jimenez played in just 84 games in 2022, but he hit a strong .295/.358/.500 with an .858 OPS, 16 home runs, 54 RBI and 40 runs scored in 327 plate appearances. If injuries don't get in the way in 2023, the sky is the limit for Jimenez.
