Elijah Moore Ruled Out With Head Injury
12 months agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore (head) suffered a head injury late in the second quarter of the Thursday night game against the New York Jets and was ruled out for the rest of the game at the start of the second half. Moore was probably put through the league's concussion protocol and wasn't allowed to return with the Browns up big at halftime. The 23-year-old will have more time to recover for a Week 18 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he could be rested anyway so that he's ready to go for the start of the postseason. The good news for fantasy managers that started Moore is that he caught five of six targets for 61 yards and a touchdown before leaving. Amari Cooper (heel) wasn't active for this game, so rookie Cedric Tillman, David Bell, James Proche II and Marquise Goodwin will have bigger roles in the second half. Tight end David Njoku should end up the team's leading receiver.
