Eduardo Rodriguez's X-Rays Come Back Negative

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez (rib) received the results from X-rays on his ribs. They came back negative for a stress reaction. E-Rod will remain shut down for the next week and the plan is for him to begin a throwing program at some point during the team's long upcoming homestand, which spans from May 26 to June 2. The 29-year-old was 1-3 with a 4.38 ERA and a 1.33 WHIP over eight starts prior to landing on the injured list. The next Tigers pitcher to enter the rotation as a fill-in starter will be Elvin Rodriguez, who is making his first career start on Monday.
