Ed Herman squeaked by Saturday night, getting the third-round submission on Mike Rodriguez. The 39-year-old was dropped by a vicious knee when the referee incorrectly stopped the action because he thought it was a low blow. Herman was caught with another big knee that dropped him nearly as time expired in the second round. Short Fuse tried to get the takedown in the third round, but didn't have success. Herman was floored yet again and hung tough, catching Rodriguez in a kimura. Herman only landed 40 significant strikes and was 2-for-4 on his takedowns. Herman has now won three in a row, but could have very easily lost this one. Keep his matchups in the back of your mind if you want to start Herman in the future.--Matt Bricker
