Eagles Release Greedy Williams
1 year agoThe Philadelphia Eagles released cornerback Greedy Williams on Saturday. Williams was originally a second-round selection by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 out of Louisiana State. In three seasons with the Browns, he had 99 tackles (78 solo), two interceptions, 12 passes defensed and a forced fumble in 39 games (21 starts). The 25-year-old played in just 11 games (one start) for Cleveland last year and finished with 11 tackles (six solo). He apparently didn't do enough in training camp and the first two preseason games in Philadelphia to earn a roster spot heading into the 2023 campaign, so he'll hope to latch on with another team quickly to provide secondary depth.
