Due to an injury to his opponent, Dwight Grant was given Daniel Rodriguez as a pre-fight day replacement. Grant looked solid in the beginning of the bout, dropping Rodriguez with a big left hand in the opening minute of the bout. After Grant suffered a couple of knockdowns himself, the referee eventually called for the TKO minutes into the first round. Stat-wise, Grant landed 30 significant strikes in just a bit over two minutes of action. The loss breaks Grant's two-fight winning streak. The 35-year-old is still dangerous in the cage and hopefully can get back on track with a more normal fight week.--Matt Bricker
