Drew Lock Expected To Start On Monday Night

Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock, not Geno Smith (groin), is expected to start on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith came into this game as questionable after missing last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He is active for this game but will cede starting duties to Lock, who is now making his second straight start. If Lock gets injured on Monday night, Smith would be forced into action at less than 100 percent. It's a downgrade for receivers DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and rookie Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but the Eagles secondary has also been a great matchup for opposing QBs and receivers, so perhaps Lock can put together a nice performance through the air in a game in which the Seahawks could have to take to the air often.
