Donte Moncrief A Solid Full-Slate GPP Option In Week 1
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Donte Moncrief will be starting opposite of JuJu Smith-Schuster in Sunday's season opener against the New England Patriots. The Patriots have a history of cornering opposing team's top receivers, which means Smith-Schuster will be a big focus for the Stephon Gilmore and the Pats. This should directly benefit Moncrief in his first game with Pittsburgh, despite seeing limited action in the preseason. Word around the team was that he and Ben Roethlisberger developed a strong chemistry early, so if a lot of New England's focus is on Smith-Schuster, the signal caller will look directly to his second best option. It's hard to expect anything better than a WR4 for Moncrief in redraft leagues, but his DFS prospects are higher due to his big-play possibility. If he is able to find pay dirt, he could return great value at a cheap price.
