Donald Parham Jr. Carted Off With Head Injury
3 years agoLos Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. (head) was immobilized and carted off the field early in the first quarter on Thursday night against the Kansas City Chiefs and will not return to the field. Parham was targeted in the back of the end zone on a fourth-down play and laid motionless on the turf after hitting his head hard. The good news is that Parham had movement in his arms, but it was a very scary scene in Los Angeles. We'll pass along more information on Parham when it comes out, but he could be fighting an uphill battle to play in Week 16, let alone again this season, depending on his diagnosis. The 24-year-old came into the game with 20 catches for 190 yards and three touchdowns and had become more of a red-zone option for quarterback Justin Herbert. Veteran Jared Cook should benefit from more targets with Parham out the rest of the game.
