Dolphins Sign First-Rounder Austin Jackson
5 years agoThe Miami Dolphins signed rookie left tackle Austin Jackson, who was taken 18th overall with one of the team's three first-round selections, to a four-year rookie deal on Thursday. Jackson played left tackle the last three years in college at USC, earning All-Pac-12 honors in 2019. He's 6-foot-5, 317 pounds and is still only 20 years old, but he should compete to be the team's starting left tackle right away in his rookie season. Jackson struggled a bit last year, but it might've been due to the fact that he donated bone marrow to his sister just two months before the start of the season. In the long run, he has a chance to be a fabulous left tackle in the NFL and help protect franchise QB Tua Tagovailoa.
