Dolphins Expected to Prioritize Physicality and Toughness Under Jeff Hafley
The Miami Dolphins agreed to terms with former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley on a five-year contract for him to become their next head coach. Under Hafley and new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, who also came from Green Bay, the Dolphins are expected to prioritize drafting and building a roster based on physicality and toughness. Miami is trying to emulate the success that Green Bay has had over the years in drafting and developing its players. Under previous head coach Mike McDaniel, Miami was all about speed, especially on offense. The next order of business for both Sullivan and Hafley is to find a new franchise quarterback, since the organization is now likely to move on from Tua Tagovailoa. Hafley will also be looking to fix a defense that allowed the second-highest drop-back success rate and the ninth-highest rushing success rate.
