Dodgers Deal For Eduardo Rodriguez Is Dead
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers had a trade in place for left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, but Rodriguez invoked his 10-team no-trade clause that included the Dodgers, and the deal is now dead, according to sources. The Tigers already traded right-handed All-Star Michael Lorenzen to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, and they are expected to deal E-Rod, too. There should still be plenty of suitors for the talented southpaw, as he's gone 6-5 on the year with a strong 2.95 ERA (3.17 FIP), 1.03 WHIP, 21 walks and 91 strikeouts in 88 1/3 innings over his 15 starts. Rodriguez missed some time with an injury in June, and he's allowed 13 earned runs on 20 hits while walking five and fanning 24 in 20 2/3 innings over four starts since July 5.
