DJ LeMahieu Smacks Two-Run Blast In Win
6 years agoThe New York Yankees increased their AL East lead to a game and a half Monday night in the Bronx with starter Masahiro Tanaka delivering a complete-game shutout. At the plate, however, infielder DJ LeMahieu delivered the bigger shot. With a runner on in the third, the 30-year-old drilled a home run to center. Ultimately, it would be the only offense his club needed to win. The home run was LeMahieu's eighth of the season as he continues to push for an All-Star selection. Now in a platoon with Giovanny Urshela at third base, he's hitting .311 with 43 RBI.
