Diontae Johnson A No-Show At OTAs
3 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson wasn't at any of the team's three organized team activity practices this past week, and it's likely that his contract situation had everything to do with that. Johnson is unlikely to show up to next week's voluntary sessions either. He's entering the final year of his rookie deal and will likely play the 2022 season without a long-term deal if an extension isn't agreed upon by the Sept. 11 opener. He'll be fined $88,650 if he misses all three days of mandatory minicamp in June. Johnson has been a high-floor PPR wideout in fantasy, and he posted his first 1,000-yard campaign with eight touchdowns on 107 receptions last year as a first-time Pro Bowler. The 25-year-old also has 20 touchdowns in his three NFL seasons, but he could take a step back this year with either Mitchell Trubisky or rookie Kenny Pickett at quarterback.
