The Detroit Tigers have gone back-to-back with high school picks to start the 2021 Draft, as they drafted shortstop Izaac Pacheco out of Friendswood High School with the third pick in the second round. Announced as a shortstop, scouts believe that he'll end up moving to third base where he'll provide most of his value with his bat. Pacheco has shown great raw potential in high school, however what is concerning is that he seems to swing-and-miss at a high rate, as his scouting report says that he was swinging and missing a lot during the summer while selling out for home runs. There will be plenty of time for him to develop in the minors though, and if he can reel in the strikeout rate he could become a solid power-hitting fantasy third baseman.--MichaelRead More News
