Denzel Mims Ruled Out For Sunday
4 years agoNew York Jets head coach Adam Gase ruled rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims out for Week 14 against the Seahawks. Mims left the team and is in Texas dealing with a family emergency. Even if he's able to return in time for the game on Sunday, he won't be eligible in time because of the league's COVID-19 protocols. The 23-year-old didn't play his first game until Week 7 and he has 19 catches for 324 yards on 36 targets over six games. In a bad Jets offense, Mims remains on waiver wires in most single-year formats. Breshad Perriman and Jamison Crowder should see more targets against Seattle as a result of Mims being inactive, with Vyncint Smith, Jeff Smith and Braxton Berrios fighting for scraps behind them.
