Although Daniel Suárez showed flashes of brilliance in 2023 with nine races with an on-track pass for the lead and an impressive 15-9 lead change record, the Trackhouse cars have been significantly slower this year, which limited their performance. Suárez failed to make the playoffs after doing so last year and his teammate Ross Chastain was eliminated before the Round of 8 after making the Championship 4 the year before. Suárez isn't much slower than he was last year as he had a speed percentile of 59.88% in 2022 and his 2023 speed percentile is not much worse at 55.85%. However, he is running up front significantly less often. Intermediates remain one of Suárez's greatest strengths as he did lead 31 laps in last year's race. Given the team's general decline in speed and his starting in the back, Suarez may struggle again.--Sean Wrona - RotoBallerRead More News
