6 years agoHanded the start in center field on Thursday, Colorado Rockies outfielder David Dahl ended up being the deciding factor for the team. Dahl was given the spot to let Charlie Blackmon take an extra day of rest as he tries to work his way out of a prolonged slump, and Dahl came through with the game-winning single in the top of the ninth inning. He also drilled his sixth home run of the season earlier in the game and stole his fourth base of the year. The team is getting Dahl into the game nearly every day between trading off starts in left or right field and an occasional pinch-hit appearance, and Dahl's making the most of the opportunity.
