Danny Amendola Expected To Miss 2-3 Weeks
3 years agoHouston Texans wide receiver Danny Amendola (hamstring) is expected to miss two to three weeks with the hamstring injury that he suffered in the Week 2 loss to the Cleveland Browns, according to a league source. It was announced earlier that the veteran pass-catcher was unlikely to play on Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers. With rookie Nico Collins (shoulder) going on Injured Reserve, the Texans depth at receiver is thinning rapidly. Brandin Cooks should remain a target hog as the clear No. 1 option, while Chris Conley and Anthony Miller, who will be making his 2021 debut this week, also should see a big increase in playing time. Outside of Cooks, though, it's hard to get too excited about Houston's pass-catchers in fantasy with rookie quarterback Davis Mills making his NFL starting debut this Thursday.
