D'Angelo Russell Comes Out Firing
7 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell opened the game up with seven straight triples but shot three of 15 the rest of the way. In the loss, Russell totaled 32 points, seven rebounds, a steal, two blocks and four turnovers. Somehow he didn't manage to record an assist, which was probably because of how red-hot he was in the first quarter. The Nets face the Sixers next, who have given up the seventh most points to opposing shooting guards over the last 10 days, and with Spencer Dinwiddie functioning as the main ball handler, he should warrant Ben Simmons' defense, while Russell gets the less-skilled defender in J.J. Redick.
