Damien Harris The Team's Top Receiving Back In Week 4
3 years agoNew England Patriots running back Damien Harris was the team's top receiving back in the Sunday night loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he ran a career-high 17 routes and was targeted twice. Brandon Bolden was targeted six times, but he only ran eight routes, while J.J. Taylor ran three routes on four snaps for one target, which he caught and then fumbled away. Harris had two catches for 30 yards and only rushed the ball four times for minus-four yards in the loss, but it was encouraging to see him get a large chunk of the passing routes without James White (hip), who is out for the season. The Patriots are likely to get rookie Rhamondre Stevenson involved eventually, but Harris could see more work in the passing attack moving forward. He's been pretty bad the last two weeks, but he'll have a bounce-back spot in Week 5 against the Houston Texans.
