Dallas Keuchel Joins Twins Active Roster
1 year agoThe Minnesota Twins selected the contract of left-hander Dallas Keuchel from Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday with right-hander Joe Ryan (groin) going on the 15-day injured list. A blast from the past, Keuchel will be making his first big-league start in 2023 when he gets into a game for the Twins, likely in a starting role to replace Ryan in the rotation. The 35-year-old former American League Cy Young winner in 2015 with the Houston Astros was showing much better results in six starts for St. Paul this year, sporting a 1.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 12 walks and 28 strikeouts in 32 innings. Keuchel isn't going to strike out many hitters and will be volatile, but he might be worth considering as a streamer in AL-only leagues, depending on the matchup.
