Cristian Pache Activated, Moved To Alternate Site
4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Cristian Pache (groin) was activated from the 10-day injured list on Saturday and was immediately optioned to the team's alternate training site at Triple-A Gwinnett. The 22-year-old was out since April 13, when he tweaked his left groin. Pache was 4-for-30 with two doubles and 13 strikeouts before his injury, and the move will allow him to work on his offensive approach. Guillermo Heredia will continue to serve as the Braves center fielder, with Ender Inciarte still on the injured list. Heredia entered Saturday night hitting .286 with two homers and a 1.111 OPS. There's a chance that Pache will be with Gwinnett when the Triple-A season starts on May 4. Pache, Atlanta's top prospect and No. 11 overall per MLB Pipeline, is a strong dynasty hold, but the Braves will be patient with his offensive development.
