Cowboys Place Tender On Antwaun Woods
4 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys used the right-of-first-refusal tender on impending restricted free-agent defensive tackle Antwaun Woods, according to a source. The Cowboys also re-signed wide receiver Noah Brown to an undisclosed one-year deal and used an original-round tender on wideout Cedrick Wilson. Woods' tender has a value of $2.133 million for the 2021 season. If Dallas doesn't match an offer sheet from another team for Woods, there will be no draft-pick compensation for him. Woods started 32 of the 39 games he's played in with Dallas since he signed a two-year deal in 2018. He has tallied 80 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries in that span. It's uncertain if Woods is in the team's long-term plans alongside Neville Gallimore and Trysten Hill on the defensive line.
